Garam Masala

Garam Masala

Garam Masala is a fragrant spice blend commonly used in Indian cooking to add warmth, depth, and complexity to dishes. The word "garam" means "hot," referring not to spiciness but to the warming nature of the spices. It typically includes a mix of ground cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, cumin, coriander, nutmeg, and black pepper.

This aromatic blend is usually added toward the end of cooking or as a finishing touch to enhance flavor. Each spice in garam masala brings its own digestive, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties.

Garam masala may help stimulate appetite, boost metabolism, and support immune function. The spices in it also help improve digestion, reduce bloating, and may aid in blood sugar regulation.

Used in moderation, garam masala not only elevates the taste of food but also offers a range of health benefits rooted in Ayurvedic tradition.
